What must be identified
A motor inverter can differ across generations, model years and markets of the same model. First identify VIN, engine code, transmission, drive, build date and component position.
Fitment verification workflow
- Identify make, model, generation, model year and market.
- Confirm engine, transmission and drivetrain.
- Verify the original number in an official or licensed catalog.
- Check supersessions, notes and build-date restrictions.
- Compare dimensions and connectors only as a secondary check, not proof of fitment.
