What the 2025 IONIQ 5 update changes for range and charging

A source-based look at Hyundai's larger 84 kWh battery, stated EPA range and fast-charging claim for the U.S. 2025 model.

What matters

Hyundai lists an 84 kWh battery for SE, SEL and Limited long-range configurations and up to 318 miles of EPA-estimated range for qualifying rear-wheel-drive versions.

The manufacturer states approximately 20 minutes for a 10–80% DC charge when using a 350 kW charger under specified conditions. That is a controlled claim, not a promise for every charger or temperature.

AutoVero records these values at trim level so they are not silently applied to the standard-range battery or AWD variants.
